Sculpture of a Balinese fairytale: The Rice Goddess Dewi Sri (a form of the Goddess of Prosperity Laksmi) appears to a  poor, but very pious farmer. Overnight she turns him into a very rich man, who will always live in eternity.  A work of art  of the highest quality of Balinese origins, purchased 1968 on the island of Lombok (Sawo-wood, height: 1.50m)
