Buddhism declares that there is not an all
powerful, punitive or gracious God that you
must appease to reach heaven or spiritual
salvation. Everyone is responsible for their
own salvation whether they live in cloisters
or ordinary circumstances. Buddhism can
therefore be regarded as a tolerant and
open spiritual tradition
.

In essence Buddhism uncoveres 4 truths:
Life is suffering, suffering is caused by desire,
there is a way to end suffering and the way to
end suffering is by following the Noble path.
The Noble path contains 8 elements: To under-
stand suffering, aspiration to end suffering,
the right to speech, the right behaviour, the
right of livelihood, the right effort, attention
and concentration.
