Royal Ramayana Office Set 

 1966, Hubert Matysek (he made film-expeditions around the world) acquired in Bali an incredible treasure, which had almost been forgotten: The fabulously, beautiful office-set of one of the last members of the royal family of Bali. What a beauty - a creative force which emanates from the wood-carved works. Mr Matysek has restored the very heavy teakwood-set from the best artists of the country. Benevolent, protective demons, powerful, celestial elephants, lions, Nagas, birds of paradise and the great symbolic figures of the famous Hindu epic Ramayana are expensive and lavishly decorated and filled by 1655 precious stones /24ct tiger-gold-leaf overlay. They give the exceptional set a unique attraction and power.

The set consists of 4 pieces of furniture:

1 four-door cabinet (size: 240cm x 280cm x 90cm)

1 secretary – desk (size: 115cm x 220cm x 150cm)

1 throne-like chair (size: 130cm x 140cm x 130cm)
